Breast Cancer Freebies founder Bethany at Let's Make A Cure Happen

Bethany Kandel, Founder

Hi! I am Bethany Kandel, a 16-year breast cancer survivor who lives in New York City with my wonderful husband (and webmaster) and two sons (Ryan is my graphic designer and he created my logo; Jared donated his long hair so a fellow breast cancer survivor could have a beautiful wig); we make a great team.

I am a former reporter for USA Today and the New York Daily News and my freelance articles — including many on breast cancer — have appeared in numerous publications and on major websites including The New York Times, PARADE, Woman’s Day, Good Housekeeping, msnbc.com and dozens of others. I am the author of the parenting resource book, The Expert Parent (Pocket Books), and an educational children’s book, Trevor’s Story: Growing Up Biracial (Lerner Publishing).

Everyone who knows me knows I love a good deal; especially something for FREE! Read more about me on my website: bethanykandel.wordpress.com

Dedication

This website is dedicated to my doctors at what was previously New York City’s Comprehensive Breast Center; to Joan Deignan, a brave friend who fought the good fight but is no longer with us; and to all those who are just starting or continue on this journey with breast cancer. Just remember: the Pink Sisterhood is always here to help for FREE.
